I’ve just finished a three-day weekend playing the music of three of my bass guitar heroes: Roger Waters, Guy Pratt and John Taylor - and three very different playing styles and techniques.
Friday saw us premiere the new 2022 set list for The Wall of Floyd at The Colton Club in Dartford, a two-hour show which included Echoes (split into two parts) and Pigs so a lot of concentration needed to play through these massive tracks.

The set list:
- Time / Breathe reprise
- Take it Back
- Coming Back To Life
- Echoes Part 1
- Burning Bridges
- Stay
- Echoes Part 2
- Pigs
- Nobody Home
- Young Lust
- Another Brick In The Wall
- Shine On You Crazy Diamond
- Welcome to The Machine
- Have A Cigar
- Wish You Were Here
- The Great Gig In The Sky
- Money
- Us And Them
- Brain Damage / Eclipse
- Comfortably Numb
- Run Like Hell
It was then over to Guernsey to catch up with tribute band DURAN for a couple of two-hour shows, culminating in a performance from the balcony at Cobo Bay Hotel to 3,000 people overlooking the beach. An awesome, energy-sapping gig but so much fun. The difference in energy levels between Pink Floyd and Duran Duran are massive but both so equal in enjoyment to play.
The set list:
- Planet Earth
- Hungry Like The Wolf
- Is There Something I Should Know?
- New Moon On Monday
- Friends Like Mine
- Come Undone
- Notorious
- Pressure Off
- Hold Back The Rain
- Ordinary World
- White Lines
- Union Of The Snake
- Reach Up For The Sunrise
- Last Chance On The Stairway
- New Region
- The Reflex
- Make Me Smile
- Save a Prayer
- The Wild Boys / Relax
- Careless Memories
- Girls on Film
- Rio
