The lightbulb moment for The Live Karaoke Band came on 28 March 2008 after a chance conversation about TV's X Factor and how amazing it would be to have a house band that could play any of the songs at the click of a finger. And with Saturday Night Beaver, Skool Daze, The Modern Fix and Playlist I realised I already had a core group of musicians that had a repertoire of over 100 songs that covered the 70s through to the 00s. Over the following weeks I built a website for The Live Karaoke Band (call it what it is), paid for some Google advertising and on 22 August 2008 we had our first show and have never looked back.
The band has become one of the most popular acts on the circuit with an enviable list of clients and venues both nationally and abroad: Isle of Wight Festival, Camp Bestival, Rewind Festival, Abbey Road Studios, Liverpool FC, Hard Rock Cafe, Microsoft, Amazon, Sony, EE, Pepsi, Sega, Sky... the list goes on, not to mention the countless weddings and private parties.
Now in its fourteenth year, the band has covered over 400 songs and features an incredibly talented group of musicians.
