In the studio with The Round Window and Lee Abraham

As a 2024 rushes by, I realise that I've been neglecting my blog so time for a few exciting updates.

First up was some studio work late last summer where I was asked to record a couple of tracks for The Round Window and one for my fellow Cosmograf band mate Lee Abraham, both exciting artists within the prog rock genre but three very different performacne styles needed.

The Round Window are a relatively new act based in North Essex and I was asked to guest on their new EP "Fram", playing on the title track and "Hourglass" courtesy of an introduction from Robin Armstrong. Check out "Fram" below where I took inspiration for my take from Guy Pratt and a BOSS OC-2 pedal.

My second summer trip into the studio was for Lee's tenth album, "Origin Of The Storm", appearing on the the song "Isolation / Disconnection" - a track that was a bit more, how shall we say, intense and something Lee's regular bassist was happy to pass on. It's written in C minor with lots of open string riffs but without a 5-string bass to hand I was able to drop my Status CW-2 down four steps for this awesome track. Enjoy!
